The Brief
My brief was to design a magazine cover for a study carried out by the DSU with OxPop (Oxford Population Health) for submission to Nature Climate Magazine. The study focuses on how used vehicles are sent from Great Britain to lower-income countries fail British roadworthiness standards. These vehicles are most often more polluting and less fuel efficient than those sent to be scrapped.
My process
I found out key themes by thoroughly reading through the study and making a list of key visual cues that could sucessfuly communicate the essential messages within the study. I found GB stickers would be a strong visual element in the design, being a very widely understood symbol and something that would exaggerate the onus on Great Britain for their huge part to play in this problem.
